This is regular meeting of Climate Change Working Group. The details of meeting are as below:

Time:14 -16.30 PM

Venue: Oxfam office, 22 Le Dai Hanh, Hanoi.

The main contents of the meeting are following:

  • A presentation on the role and objectives of CANSEA,
  • Highlight CANSEA’s aim to widen our representation across the region,
  • Discuss the opportunities for engagement and collaboration between CCWG members and CANSEA,
  • Invite CCWG members to consider applying for membership to CANSEA.

From 7th to 18th November 2016, the United Nations Convention on Climate Change’s Conference of Parties (COP 22) was organized in Marrakech, Morocco.

In the light of the main results of COP 22 and issues that remained unaddressed, NGO’ Resource Center’s Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) and Oxfam in Vietnam as its chair organization, with the support from Friedrich- Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in Vietnam organizes an international workshop on 08 December 2016 at Fortuna hotel. It brought together around 150 participants from international non-government organizations, policy makers, scientists, media and interested public.

International conference “Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Promoting Linkages and Synergies”

To address these gaps and to promote the discussion in the Vietnamese context, the Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) under the NGO Resource Centre, currently chaired by Oxfam in Vietnam, organized an international conference  “Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Promoting Linkages and Synergies” on 21st Sep 2016.

On 9th Sep 2016, CCWG organized monthly meeting at WWF office. The main topic of this meeting was to share about climate change adaptation (CCA) and ecosystem-based adaptation.  After that, all participants had a change to discuss about the national adaptation plan.
