Regional Research Development and Research Methodology

Mekong Institute (MI) is now calling for participants to the Regional Research Development and Research Methodology training course which is scheduled on 3 – 21 May, 2010 at MI Residential Training Center, Mekong Institute, Khon Kaen , Thailand .
    
This training program is a three-week learning course offered by the Mekong Institute (MI) for researchers from public and private organizations, universities and research institutions of the GMS involved in sub-regional emerging issues. The course is designed to provide young GMS researchers/professionals the knowledge and skills to undertake research. Its main purpose is to improve the participants’ capability on the key issues and concepts of the research process and the actual implementation of applied research. Topics covered include research problem identification, objectives setting, hypothesis formulation, literature review, conceptual/theoretical modeling, research design, primary and secondary data collection, data analysis and interpretation, and report writing. At the end of the training program, the participants are expected to develop research proposals in their respective areas of interest.
        
As a complementary advantage, the program promotes collaborative research and networking among GMS researchers.Full and partial scholarships are available on a competitive basis.
