ADP Manager (03 Positions)

World Vision International - Vietnam invites Vietnamese competent candidates for the position ADP MANAGER (03 positions) working for the Area Development Program (ADP) in Yen Bai province: 01 based in Van Yen district, 01 based in Van Chan district, and 01 based in Luc Yen district.
Area Development Program (ADP) is an approach to child focused development, emphasizing the process of community participation, sustainability, and integrating activities in the areas of food security, agriculture, micro-enterprise, health, nutrition, education, water, and sanitation.

Main Responsibilities:
The ADP Manager assists the Yen Bai Programs Provincial Manager in providing the strategic directions for the ADP by working with the community and the team to design and develop project plans, implement project activities to achieve stipulated objectives, and to transfer the ownership of the development of the ADP to the community members themselves
The position provides overall leadership and management to the program in accordance with relevant strategies (e.g. national strategy, sectoral strategies, disaster preparedness plan, etc.), policies (e.g. Human Resources, Finance and Child Protection policies etc.), standards (e.g. Integrated Programming Model, LEAP, child sponsorship, etc.).

Requirements:
- The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on the job training:
- University graduate in education, health, community development, social work and/or business administration. Master degree in similar fields would be an advantage.
- Have at least 4 years relevant work experience in community development including demonstrated capacity in program management. Experience in program implementation, community mobilization and participatory approach would be an advantage.
- Have basic knowledge and understanding of key aspects of development work; including health, education, economic development, HIV and AIDS programming, food security, cross-cutting themes (e.g. gender, child protection, environment, disability), and integration of advocacy and disaster management in development programming.
- Have demonstrated capacity in program management, with conceptual understanding and required competency in DME functions.
- Have skills in facilitation of development processes, including organisation and mobilisation of communities and networking among different development partners.
- Well-developed presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, exercise judgment, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Experience in managing and supervising staff. Experience of working with ethnic minorities
- Well-developed written and oral communications skills in Vietnamese and English, particularly report writing skills.
- Good computer skills (word processing, excel and power point).
- Willingness to work at the project sites (district level) with frequent travel.
