The German Red Cross is part of the world wide Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement assisting victims of conflict and disaster and people affected by social or health related crisis. The Red Cross movement provides to vulnerable people assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions and adheres to the seven principles of the Red Cross movement: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality.
The German Red Cross assists in disaster response, rehabilitation and capacity building projects internationally on appeals of their sister organisations within the movement.
The German Red Cross (GRC) and the Vietnam Red Cross National Societies (VNRC) are implementing together different projects in the sector of Disaster Risk Reduction, Community Based Health Care, Organisational Development and Disaster Response.
The German Red Cross Delegation in Hanoi is seeking a Vietnamese national candidate to fill the position of Intern.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Specific tasks will include (but may not be limited to):
- Primarily work on SPSS software to analyze the project figures;
- Provide support in financial and administrative work; translation and interpreting from English to Vietnamese and from Vietnamese to English;
- Upon GRC’s request.

Person specifications:
They are looking for a student with qualification and experience and personal skills:
- Have a background on SPSS software (Statistical Packages for Social Sciences), and be able to work on this software for analyzing the project figures;
- Preferably good English in writing and speaking;
- Competence in MS Windows programs, word processing, Excel, accounting software, etc;
- Willing to work following strict deadlines and ability to handle short time notice, work pressure;
- Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation  skills.

Duration: Part-time; flexible upon GRC’s request and negotiation between GRC and Intern/ Volunteer
