Senior Economic Analyst

The Australian Embassy in Hanoi is seeking applicants to fill the Locally Engaged Staff (LES) position of Senior Economic Analyst within its Economic and Development Cooperation Section, Australian Embassy in Hanoi.

The successful applicant will initially be employed on a full-time contract for 12 months with the possibility of an extension.

Key selection criteria

• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to think strategically.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working on economic/business/finance issues in Vietnam.
• Excellent written and verbal communication (in both English and Vietnamese), including ability to engage in policy dialogue and negotiation with senior level officials.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team and to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with senior government representatives and agencies.

Commencing Annual Salary: USD24,922 plus competitive benefit package.
