Job Title: SENIOR TRAINING & OUTREACH SPECIALIST

Job purposes:
The Senior Training & Outreach Specialist is responsible for identifying, implementing and actively promoting best practices in face-to-face communication – including outreach, medical detailing and provider counseling - as a key component of integrated, multi-channel behavior change communication campaigns implemented by PSI and other partners.

Major duties:
• Actively represent PSI and best practices in face-to-face communication with national and provincial level partners
• Design, development, and coordinate training and supportive supervision/monitoring activities for field-based communicators including outreach workers/peer educators, outlet/clinic-based providers, and supervisors.
• Provide technical support to build provincial capacity to recruit, train, manage and motivate outreach teams as well as to build PSI field-based staff (Sales Supervisors, QI Officers, BCC Officer) capacity to promote best practices in face-to-face communication and participatory training techniques.
• Develop and disseminate tools and documents to promote best practices related to PSI’s face-to-face communication, integrating international best practices for outreach, medical detailing and provider behavior change.
• Provide training in the use of state-of-the-art monitoring tools, including UIC, TraC T and provider/outlet audits to improve quality monitoring and solicit feedback regarding the quality of face-to-face messaging.
• Work closely with Marketing, Sales & Health Services teams to adapt, design, and develop IEC/BCC tools and materials for outreach workers & provider behavior change
• Actively utilize monitoring data to inform, adjust, and improve programming activities to ensure objectives and goals are met

Selection criteria

• University degree in public health, social science or other related field.
• Prior experience designing & leading participatory training exercises for OW and/or medical providers
• Outgoing personality, proven ability in showing initiative and creativity to solve problems
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking, and verbal as well as written communication skills
• Enthusiasm, out of the box thinking, a desire to make a positive impact and a team player
