Technical Officer, HIV/AIDS Care & Treatment

FHI 360 is an international, non-governmental organization that works with the Vietnam Ministry of Health, provincial health services, and local non-government organizations to promote the health and wellbeing of the Vietnamese people, particularly vulnerable and marginalized populations. In Vietnam, FHI 360 is currently building the capacity of local organizations in HIV prevention, care & treatment, drug treatment policy & practice, clinical research for the development of vaccines and drugs, maternal and child health and nutrition, diagnostics, and laboratory services.

We are currently seeking a qualified and highly motivated Vietnamese candidate to fill a temporary role as a Technical Officer, HIV/AIDS Care & Treatment, based in Hanoi.

Period of Performance: From date of hire to September 2017

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to government health facilities providing HIV/AIDS care and treatment services
  • Conduct technical monitoring and evaluation of assigned HIV treatment facilities
  • Support the collection and analysis of HIV care and treatment data

Desired qualifications:

  • Degree in medicine or public health
  • Experience in managing HIV clinical services
  • Ability to work well with all project staff, implementing agencies, government counterparts
  • Good written and oral communication skills in both Vietnamese and English
  • Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to travel as necessary
