Since 2015, FES Vietnam has also served as a regional hub in the field of climate change, energy, and the environment for FES Asia.

Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Vietnam is seeking for a reliable and motivated individual to work full-time as a Project Coordinator with our dynamic, results-oriented team in Hanoi. We are looking for a team-player and organizational talent, who wishes to contribute to sustainable development of Vietnam. The Coordinator works closely with the Regional Project Coordinator (RPC) and the Senior Program Coordinator (SPC) of the FES Climate Change project.

Duties & Responsibilities

Specific duties of the officer are expected to be:

  • Project:
    • Assist in development, preparation, implementation and post processing of project activities (e.g. research of topic, evaluation, writing activity report)
    • Translate various documents related to project activities (English – Vietnamese – English)
    • Prepare, organize and interpret planning meetings, seminars and trainings with project partners
    • Prepare and maintain documents related to project activities ranging from concept note to working programs
    • Provide support for other projects’ activities as requested by RPC and SPC
  • Admin/Finance duties
    • Arrange all necessary logistics for the project activities e.g. book accommodation and flights for experts, facilitate transportation to the hotel, airport and activity venue.
    • Administrate the project cash account, maintain the account for all payments made in the office as necessary and ensure the correctness of financial records.
    • Monitor and report about Green Office activities in the office
    • Perform other tasks assigned by Finance Officer, RPC and SPC
  • Communication
    • Support in maintenance and development of the FES internet presence
    • Promoting information about FES on social media to the publics and partners
    • Assist in producing press releases, policy recommendations and other publications
    • Assist in producing content about project activities for the Regional FES website

Requirements:

  • Advanced fluency in English and Vietnamese, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in working in non-profit sector
  • Demonstrated skills in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Systematic and organized approach to work with the ability to multi task
  • Excellent writing skills and in-depth understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Youtube)
  • Experience in content management system TYPO3 and video editing programs (e.g. movie maker, iMovie) is welcomed
  • Knowledge and experience in climate change, sustainable development and environment is an asset

Location: Hanoi with occasional travels

Contract duration: 07 months replacement for Project Coordinator on her maternity leave, starting from January 2017
