Vacancies at the Project "Support for the REDD+ Readiness Preparation in Vietnam"

The project “Support for the REDD+ Readiness Preparation in Vietnam” funded by the World Bank Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) is approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on 10th January 2013 (Decision 58/Q?-BNN-HTQT). The project is aimed to provide support for strengthening institutional and technical capacity of National REDD+ Steering Committee, Vietnam REDD+ Office and relevant central organizations and 3 pilot provinces (Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Dak Nong) to be REDD+ ready to contribute to successful implementation of the National REDD+ Action Program (NRAP). The Project will be implemented from 2013-2015 with total investment of USD 3.8 million.

Project is designed to achiev three key outcomes: a) strengthened national technical and institutional capacities for successful implementation of the NRAP; roadmap, key materials and guidelines for the development of provincial REDD+ Action Plans of pilot provinces have in place; b) feasible plans and options for participation and provision of REDD+ services of forest companies and forest management boards; technical guidelines for SFC & FMB to become providers of multiple forests goods and environmental services, including emission reduction is available; c) refined strategic REDD+ options at both the national (NRAP) and provincial (PRAP) levels, together with a free-standing ESMF, all of which should be suitable for inclusion in the R-Package for Vietnam.

The Project is seeking for the following positions to work for Project Management Unit (PMU):

- One (01) International Chief Technical Advisor: full-time
- One (01) National Consultant for Forest Management: part-time
- One (01) National MRV Consultant: part-time
- One (01) International Consultant for REDD+: part-time
- One (01) National Consultant for Forest Policy: part-time
- One (01) National Consultant for Remote sensing and GIS: part-time
- One (01) National Consultant for REDD+ safeguards: part-time
- One (01) National Consultant for Forestry Inventory: part-time
- One (01) National Consultant for social safeguards: part-time
- One (01) National Consultant for environment safeguards: part-time
- One (01) National Consultant for stakeholder engagement: part-time

These are positions with a one-year contract starting from January 2014 and possibly extend to three years depending on the work performance.
