CDC– FHI 360 in Viet Nam Public Health Fellowship program

Family Health International (FHI 360), with the support from Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is offering a fellowship program for current or prospective doctoral students and second-year master’s students or recently graduated master students. FHI 360’s mission is to improve lives worldwide by addressing complex public health issues through research, education and services.

In addition to offices in the US, FHI 360 operates in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Since its founding in1971, FHI has conducted clinical research in more than 95 countries utilizing

Opportunity Awaits You!

This exciting fellowship program provides you with the opportunity to work with FHI 360 and it’s partners’ researchers in HIV/AIDS topics. As a fellow, you will have hands-on learning experiences
that will expand your research skills as well as make important contributions to specific research studies. It is estimated that you will work at FHI 360 office in Hanoi, Viet Nam for 20 - 40 hours
weekly and the fellowship can start immediately.

Benefits
This one-year fellowship will provide you a stipend. Your assigned project has the potential to provide you with the basis for your dissertation or master’s thesis or peer reviewed manuscripts. Application

Process and Eligibility
Eligible candidates are Vietnamese, current doctoral students and second-year master’s students enrolled in any public health department or school or public health school in Viet Nam or master level public health professional who just graduated within 1 year.

All interested individuals will need to complete and submit the application form and required documents to the FHI 360. Required documents are listed in the application form. An application
form is attached.

A committee representing FHI 360, and CDC will review the applications. FHI 360 will review all applications and schedule interviews with selected applicants.

Applications will be due to FHI360 Vietnam country office by May 15, 2012.
