Festival Honoring Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Value Opens in Hanoi

A festival themed “I believe I can” featuring the cultural value of different ethnic groups all over the country will be held in Hanoi on December 11 and 13. Organized the first time in 2015, the event becomes now an art festival dedicated to the unique and diverse culture of the ethnic minorities in Vietnam. This year’s event themed “Indigenous knowledge – Spring of life” aims at the practical values of indigenous knowledge, a complete system accumulated and refined after thousands of years. It also is to honor the cultural value, mutual understandings and support between different ethnic groups nationwide. A street performance will be held in Hoan Kiem Lake on December 11. Meanwhile a series of activities, exhibition, traditional games, art performances will take place at the Vietnam National Academy of Music on December 13. (saigon-gpdaily.com.vn Dec 10)
