Vietnam Honors Best Start-up Idea by Students

The Vietnamese Student Association held the national finale for the Start-up Student ideas in Hanoi on Saturday March 18 after five months of competition. From 569 ideas for the qualifying round, the jury chose 61 ideas for the regional final round. They then selected 15 best ideas to compete at the national finale. These start-up ideas from 15 groups are derived from the real lives of students. From 15 groups, the jury of the competition selected 3 best groups to present on the stage of Gala night held on March 18. "Smart water", a water quality monitoring solution developed by students of Thai Nguyen University, won the first prize, which includes $2,200 in cash, $22,000 for project implementation, and a field trip to the U.S.(Bao Chinh Phu – Government Newspaper, Tuoi Tre - Youth; Zing News; VietnamNet Mar 19)
