The VUFO-NGO Resource Centre team would like to extend to you our best wishes for the New Year 2016.
It is informed by Coalition for Environment and Development (CED) that its mission has been accomplished from 31 Dec 2015 and the office will be officially closed from 31 January 2016 after 9 years of operation in Vietnam.
CED would like to express its sincere thanks to all organisations and individuals from central to local levels for their valuable partnership and cooperation during its mission in the country. ---- There is currently no meeting scheduled for the first half of January 2016.

We would also like to extend our best wishes to Dr. Michael R. DiGregorio, Country Representative at the Asia Foundation’s Vietnam, who has recently been appointed as the new INGO representative at the Vietnam Development Partnership Forum (VDPF). ---- Please be advised of our opening hours during the holidays:
Our office will be closed from 1:00pm on 24 December until 26 December. We will also be closed from 1:00pm on 31 December until 2 January.
Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will participate in the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Paris from November 30 to December 1 at the invitation of French President Francois Hollande. The Prime Minister is also visiting Belgium and the European Union on December 2 as guest of his Belgian counterpart Charles Michel and European Commission President Jean-Claude Junker. The visits are expected to beef up the cooperation between Vietnam and the European partners. Vietnam and the 28-member EU established diplomatic relations in 1990. The country also set up strategic partnership with six EU members, namely the UK, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France and Italy. (Vietnamplus.vn Nov 25)

World Vision Vietnam would like to inform that Ms. Tran Thu Huyen has been appointed as WVV National Director effectively from September 4, 2015. Ms. Huyen has joimed WV Vietnam since 1994 and has held various leadership positions and also acted as the Officer-in-Charge from time to time whenever the national director was away.
