Thailand!*



It is a pleasure to inform you that the Asian Disaster Preparedness
Centre is organizing a one week Regional Training Course on */“Incident
Command System for Disaster Management”/* from 10-16 August 2009 in
Phuket, Thailand.



This is ADPC new initiatives, which has designed to enable practitioners
to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident
Command System (ICS). This course focuses on the management of single
resources. The course will offer with an in-depth knowledge on Incident
Command System, describe the ICS organization appropriate to the
complexity of the incident or event and use ICS to manage an incident or
event efficiently.



The module outline of the training course is given in the course
brochure. Please refer to the attachment or download the brochure from
the ADPC website (http://www.adpc.net/v2007). The course will be
delivered by the Emergency Management Experts from US Forest Service and
ADPC who have extensive experience working in the field of Emergency
Response and, through an extensive alumni league comprising of
international experienced practitioners and experts from different
organizations and government institutions across the world.



We look forward to your participation in this first regional training
course. We would appreciate if you can also nominate your staff or share
this information with colleague of partner organizations and invite them
to undertake the course. Participants interested to attend the course
are requested to fill up the ADPC Training Application Form. Please
