Dear Colleagues,

Firstly, on behalf of NGO Resource Centre, we would like to thank Save
The Children Team Specialy Mr. Nguyen Van Gia, the chairman of the
Disaster Management Working Group for the last 6 months, the time within
major disaster happened in 2009 for his great efforts, dedication and
enthusiasm in coordinating, helping to gathering people together and
keeping the group updated on all Disaster Management Working Group
activities in Vietnam; as well as in the other parts of the world. We
hope to receive continued cooperation and active participation from Save
The Children Team.

Please join us in congratulating Care International again on new
function of Chairmanship role! wishing DMWG will be more active and
attract more people joining our activities.

Secondly, about our next meeting:  DMWG often organise the meeting on
the third Friday of the month, so the date meeting in March will be on
19. We have checked NGORC Calendar 18 March is already occupied with
other event of 
Water and Sanitation Working Group. Please be informed and let us know
if you want to organise DMWG meeting at NGO Resource Centre on 19 of
March.

Dear all

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.

Wishing you a prosperous year with full of achievement.

 

The DWMG had a last year with full of events, we hope this year, the 
work to become more quality with less emergency incidents (to have less 
suffering for people from disaster)

We are happy to inform you that Save the Children and UNICEFF are 
jointly planning a Lessons Learnt Study to review the 2009 experiences 
on education in emergencies. This is a important step forward in joint 
activities on disaster reduction and cluster approach. The study will 
take long time (See message below), however the research team would like

to meet with all DMWG members at one time during Mid March. (Please find

the schedule attached)

Form this plan I would like to ask you, the New Chair persons to have 
your favor considering the monthly meeting on Friday 19th March so that 
we can have the fresh atmosphere of the New Year and the team have 
chance to observe the group work and talk with the members.
