[dmwg] Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment of ethnic minorities in the Northern Mountainous Region

Dear all,

 

CARE Vietnam together with our partner organisations is supporting one of the programmes, aimed at enhancing capacity to cope with disasters and climate change of the ethnic minorities in the Northern Mountainous Region. We are in the process of  an intensive assessment of vulnerability and capacity of the ethnic minorities in our project areas in 5 provinces of Dien Bien, Yen Bai, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Hoa Binh….

 

We would like to call for interests of those individuals, NGOs as well as government agencies for sharing the information of vulnerability and capacity assessments of ethnic minorities to disasters and climate change in the Northern Mountainous Region of Vietnam. We would like to coordinate the efforts of sharing the information during implementation and later stages.

Tổ chức CARE International cùng với đối tác hiện đang thực hiện một chương trình nhằm nâng cao năng lực thích ứng của cộng đồng các dân tộc thiểu số ở Vùng núi Phía Bắc với Thiên tai và Biến Đổi khí hậu. Một trong những hoạt động trong năm nay của chúng tôi là đánh giá tình trạng dễ bị tổn thương và khả năng thích ứng với biến đối khí hậu trong các vùng dự án của chúng tôi ở một số tỉnh Lạng Sơn, Bắc Kan, Yên Bá, Điện Biên, Hòa Bình..i.

 

Chúng tôi xin kêu gọi sự quan tâm của các cá nhân, tổ chức của Chính phủ và Phi chính phủ nhằm chia sẻ các thông tin về đánh giá tính tổn thương của các dân tộc thiểu số đối với thiên tai và biến đổi khí hậu tại các tỉnh miền núi phía bắc.
