OF CCWG & DMWG

 

Dear CCWG and DMWG members,

In light of enabling the most vulnerable people in Viet Nam to increase
their resilience to climate change and climate related disasters, members of
CCWG and DMWG have been putting great effort in implementing
projects/programs to support local communities. Given limited resources of
NGOs in general, advocacy work is targeted by a remarkable number of CCWG
and DMWG members for scaling up models for the well-being of vulnerable
groups in Vietnam. CCWG and DMWG cooperated to develop a joint advocacy
strategy to avoid overlapping and waste of resources in terms of advocacy
effort due to the commonalities between climate change response and disaster
risk management. Presently, two working groups are endeavoring to translate
the advocacy strategy into action plan.

You are kindly invited to join this planning workshop and your inputs are
valuable to support advocacy implementation of two working groups.

This workshop aims at:

.         mobilizing initiatives from members and interested stakeholders in
advocacy in line with the joint advocacy strategy; 

.         developing the work plan for 2012 (at least) to fulfill the joint
advocacy strategy;

.         strengthening collaboration between CCWG and DMWG;
