Message from UNDP Vietnam Procurement Unit

Dear colleagues and friends,

UNDP Vietnam seeks proposals from qualified team of individual consultants and national consulting firms/institutions/organizations for study on the role of the National Assembly in human rights protection and promotion, under the Project "Capacity for the implementation of international Human Rights Treaties in Vietnam - Project 00046998".

The general objectives of the assignment are:


-          To study the roles of the Viet Nam's National Assembly in protecting and promoting the human rights through their functions as defined in the national legal system.


-          Brief reference to experiences in functioning of national human rights institutions and of Parliaments in a number of ASEAN countries and others in the world on the promotion and protection of human rights; and


-          To make the recommendations on how best enhance the roles of the National Assembly in protecting and promoting human rights.

The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
