[Ngo Climate Change] inputs from CCWG for the upcoming CG meeting

Dear All,

As in previous years, climate change will be on the agenda of this year's
formal CG meeting in Hanoi on 3-4th December.  The NGO RC are preparing a
written statement with key messages to be delivered by the 4 elected INGO
reps at the meeting.  The CCWG have been asked to provide inputs for the
statement on CC, and by this mail I would like to ask all members to provide
short paragraphs on current CC issues and concerns that your
INGOs/VNGOs/networks feel should be included in this year's statement.
They can be on any issue, however information received so far suggests the
focus will be on: 

*    Key policies for CC mitigation

*    Coordination between government and donors

*    Management of external financial flows for funding CC responses

Many of us are involved in discussions already ongoing on all these topics,
eg relating to REDD, developing Vietnam's financial modalities and so on and
may have views and recommendations to make.

 

Please send a short paragraph with your inputs to Yen (yen.nt at care.org.vn)
by Monday 16th November so that we can include your points when we put
together a draft statement in time for the NGO RC Forum meeting on 19th
November.
