[Ngo Climate Change] INVITATION: sharing meeting on COP15 outcomes and implications for NGOs in Vietnam, Monday 18th January 2pm NGO RC

Dear CCWG and DMWG members,

The CCWG will host an informal post COP15 sharing meeting from 2pm to 4pm on
Monday 18th January at the NGO Resource Centre, La Thanh hotel.  All
interested NGO CCWG/DMWG members are warmly invited.  

 

The meeting aims to share outcomes of COP15 official proceedings, NGO
contributions and Vietnam experiences from Copenhagen with NGOs in Vietnam.
We will conclude with a discussion on implications for Vietnam and
priorities for NGOs in 2010.  Koos and Lai from UNDP and Charles Ehrhart
from CARE International will be the lead resource people for this meeting.
Others who attended COP15 are encouraged to share their experiences also.

2pm      Introduction to meeting

2h 15    COP15 outcomes - INGO overview, contributions, perspectives and
next steps for global negotiations

2h 45    COP15 outcomes - UN overview of official proceedings, Vietnam
experiences, implications for Vietnam and opportunities/challenges for NGOs
work in post-COP15 context

3h 15    Open discussion - NGOs feedback and views on COP15 results, Q&A,
ways forward for Vietnam's response to CC

3h 45    Priorities for NGOs in 2010
