Following up with Yen's email on presentation for CCWG Community Based
Adaptation Workshop, tomorrow is the deadline for CBA model presentation
registration. However, we have received some feedbacks that they wish to
attend the workshop and share presentations but they do not have time to
prepare presentations to send us now. 

 

Therefore, please send us your summary of your adaptation model/project by
tomorrow Friday the 5th Nov, then send your presentations later via my email
hanh.dm at care.org.vn Ms. Phuong's climate at challengetochange.org.

 

Should you have anything needs clarifications, please contact me.

Dear All,

 

It is recognized that NGOs are implementing several community based
adaptation initiatives and it is crucial to share the good practices and
lesson learnt with each other. NGO CCWG in cooperation with the Capacity
Building Project on climate change for the civil society is planning to have
a one day sharing workshop of NGOs good adaptation practices by late
November (19 or 26 November). This sharing event will lead to a National
Community Based Adaptation involving different stakeholders later on. 

 

I would call for your paper to present your experience relating to community
based adaptation with climate change. Each presentation will be 20 minutes
(maximum 7 slides) possibly covering the following:

 

-          Project/programme/initiative

-          Main activities on climate change adaptation/ mainstreaming?
address what issues?

-          Why they are considered good practices

-          What are lesson learnt?

-          Recommendations

 

Please send your paper/presentation to Ms. Hanh of CARE at
hanh.dm at care.org.vn and Phuong of Challenge to Change at
climate at challengetochange.org. Deadline for your registration is 5th
November. Your information will be put together as the baseline on the
Website of CCWG and the Capacity Building project.

 

Due to the time limitation, the Adaptation Theme Team will select the
presentations for the sharing workshop and inform you. Once VNGOs outside
Hanoi are selected for presentation, you will be covered your costs.

 

Those who sent your presentation to the Capacity Building Project under SRD
do not need to send again. The Adaptation Theme Team of CCWG will circulate
the Workshop Agenda with details of venue later.
