Senior Program Officer based in Hanoi

 

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation is one of the most experienced and largest
development organisations in Switzerland. As a politically and
denominationally neutral association, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation is
supported by over 100,000 members and sponsors, as well as 12 regional
groups of volunteers. Active in 32 countries, HELVETAS Swiss
Intercooperation has been working in Vietnam since 1994. Today, our Vietnam
programs focus on governance, local planning, the reform of public
administration, water and sanitation, rural economy, value chain of
different commodities: cocoa, tea, handicraft, natural ingredients, etc. We
are looking for 01 Senior Program Officer based in Ha Noi with frequent
travels to provinces. 

 

Responsibilities

 

*	To be responsible for the management of SODIS/HWTS including
planning, budgeting, supervising, monitoring and reporting; provide direct
support to the project partners for the implementation; supervise the
project staff and consultants;
*	To supervise closely the implementation of LIVE project which is
implemented by local partners in Cao Bang;
*	To act as focal person for Gender & Social Equity for HELVETAS;
*	To be responsible for the capitalization of lessons learn and
facilitate the knowledge sharing;
*	To participate in relevant program development and acquisition.

 

Required qualifications

*	MSc or BSc in development studies and/or related fields; 
*	5-10 years experience in development projects with good
understanding of poverty reduction strategies, ethnic minorities, gender and
social inclusion;
*	Good knowledge of project management, logframe, results-based
management, M&E, etc.;
*	Excellent communication, inter-personal and facilitation skills
(including writing skills for different target groups, presentation skill);
*	Fluent in Vietnamese and in English;
*	Good team and outcome oriented spirits.
