This is the information session on Ketsana impacts in Viet Nam. In close collaboration with the Central Committee for Floods and Strom Control (CCFSC), the Disaster Management Working Group (DMWG), PACCOM, this section that will be held on Tuesday, 6 October 2009 at 3 pm. in MARD premises.

MARD Vice Minister Dr. Hoc will chair the meeting. PACCOM director general and UN representatives will co-chair the meeting on behalf of the Disaster Management Working Group.
The objective of the meeting is to analyze the impact of the deadly typhoon that hit central Vietnam early this week and discuss potential support to the national ongoing efforts.
To do so, representatives from the joint Rapid Assessment Teams (GoV, NGOs and UN) that are currently in the 6 most damaged provinces will provide us updated information after the visit to the affected areas.
Tentative agenda is as follows:
