Hanoi aims to transform into a leading national healthcare center in Vietnam, focusing on developing medical fields with world-class technology and integrating medical services with health tourism and wellness, according to Decision 1668/QD-TTg approving adjustments to Hanoi’s General Planning until 2045, with a vision toward 2065.
Under the plan signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, the city will allocate from 650 to 700 hectares of land for hospital construction.
The plan includes expanding specialized hospitals and medical complexes in satellite urban areas and establishing public and private medical centers in eco-urban zones and towns to address local healthcare needs. Land will be designated for medical complexes serving both the capital and surrounding regions.
Existing hospitals and medical facilities within the city will be upgraded to meet current standards, while infectious disease treatment facilities will be relocated out of the city center. Land will also be reserved for high-quality medical research, training, and healthcare facilities. (Suc Khoe Doi Song)
