Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long has approved a plan with 11 key tasks to improve the quality of vocational education by 2030, state media reported.
The plan emphasizes raising public awareness of the importance of vocational education, developing legal frameworks, and improving state management, evaluation, and quality assurance. It also includes reorganizing vocational education institutions and expanding training programs for young people, workers, and farmers.
Vocational training content and methods will be modernized, and efforts will be made to build a skilled workforce of teachers, trainers, and managers. It calls for stronger cooperation between the state, educational institutions, and businesses to enhance training outcomes.
Vietnam will increase investment in vocational education, along with promoting international collaboration, scientific research, the application of technology, and entrepreneurship, to drive vocational training reforms and support Vietnam’s socio-economic development goals. (Dan Sinh)
