JOB DESCRIPTION
Objective:
Lead the company’s sustainability vision and strategy, driving impactful initiatives that reduce environmental impact, promote social responsibility, and align with global ESG standards and company values.
Primary Function/Responsibility
- Develop and lead the implementation of the company-wide sustainability strategy, aligned with Easia Travel’s long-term vision.
- Collaborate with top management and stakeholders to define a long-term sustainability roadmap.
- Conduct sustainability audits and evaluate local suppliers against ethical labor, waste, and carbon-conscious practices.
- Launch and manage a carbon footprint analysis methodology; integrate carbon data into product and supplier evaluations.
- Oversee internal and external sustainability reporting, including ESG performance and carbon data.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to communicate sustainability achievements.
- Design and execute communication strategies aligned with sustainability expectations of key client markets.
- Promote Travelife and other certification achievements through targeted content and internal training.
- Explore and lead the creation of a foundation to support local artisans, children, and environmental initiatives.
- Define clear mission and vision statements for foundations or community programs in line with Easia’s preservation focus.
- Translate sustainability assessments into SMART action plans with defined objectives and KPIs.
- Lead cross-departmental collaboration (operations, production, HR) to embed sustainability in SOPs and promote a culture of ownership.
- Build and manage a continuous improvement and monitoring framework for sustainability initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to departments to build sustainability awareness and capacity.
- Engage with stakeholders, partners, and local communities to build scalable, impactful programs.
- Keep abreast of global sustainability and ESG trends to ensure alignment and innovation.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability leadership or environmental project management is a Must.
- Proven experience developing foundations, mission statements, and impact programs.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, carbon reporting, and global sustainability standards.
- Experience in sustainability certification processes (Travelife, Childsafe, etc.) is an advantage.
- Passionate about sustainable development and social responsibility.
