On November 1, Director of Google for Education for Asia-Pacific and Middle East Tim Paolini had a working session with representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee to discuss cooperation orientations for digital transformation in education, state media reported.
At the talks, Google for Education committed to providing digital training for teachers to bolster their technical capabilities and foster innovative teaching practices. The project includes access to a repository of educational resources to help teachers apply technology in classrooms more effectively.
In addition, Google will promote AI education through programs like Gemini Academy, aiming to equip both students and teachers with practical AI skills.
The company also plans to collaborate with the city to create an international AI Educator Award, recognizing outstanding educators who use AI in innovative ways.
To support school data management, Google for Education will help implement the Chrome Education Upgrade system, improving operational efficiency and educational quality. This partnership aims to connect Ho Chi Minh City’s schools to a network of leading global educational experts and resources, enhancing learning experiences across the city.
