Each year, Vietnam sees over 100,000 premature births, contributing significantly to the burden of illness and mortality in children, according to the latest information announced at the launching ceremony of the 2024 “Tiny Hope” Run for Premature Babies.
The Maternal and Child Health Department under the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Babu JSC, launched the 2024 “Tiny Hope” Run for Premature Babies on November 2.
This sports event, which marks World Prematurity Day (November 17), aims to raise public awareness on prematurity and educate communities on caring for premature infants. It promotes societal understanding of maternal health to reduce preventable preterm birth risks and to support the health of preterm infants.
The run’s goal is to donate 3,000 clothing and accessory sets worth approximately VND645 million ($26,875) to premature infants receiving care in hospitals across Vietnam.
