Agriterra is seeking for a consultant to provide the technical support provider will deliver the following services, ensuring close alignment with the recommendations from the cooperative assessment results:
- Develop the customized Training Modules:
- Developed tailored to each cooperative’s specific needs and challenges, covering topics like water quality, feed management, and disease prevention.
- Capacity Building in Sustainable Shrimp Production
- Training Programs: Deliver targeted training on water quality management, feed optimization, and disease prevention. The support will be designed to integrate climate-smart practices, such as renewable energy adoption and environmentally friendly infrastructure.
- Technology Adoption and Innovation
- Modern Farming Systems: Introduce modern technologies such as PE pond liners, aeration systems, siphone system and IoT farm management tools (through partners like TEPBAC) to optimize shrimp production and reduce environmental impacts.
- Probiotic Use: Support cooperatives in adopting probiotic solutions to improve shrimp health, reduce antibiotic reliance, and ensure eco-friendly farming practices.
- Demonstration Farms and Pilot Projects
- Establish demonstration farms within each cooperative to showcase best practices in sustainable farming. These will serve as educational hubs, allowing cooperative members and external stakeholders to observe the direct benefits of sustainable and innovative practices.
