Handicap International France (HI F) is a non-governmental organisation created in 1982. HI mission is to assist people in situations of disability or vulnerability, whatever may be the underlying cause and environment. This is done through the implementation of multidisciplinary programmes concerning prevention, treatment, empowerment, integration and emergency intervention. HI has worked in Vietnam since 2001 and is developing projects targeting people living with disabilities, extremely vulnerable persons and persons living with HIV or AIDS.

The Vietnam-Canada Program Support Unit (VC-PSU) is a Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) bilateral project. Its purpose is to provide support to CIDA’s development assistance program in Vietnam in order to maximize the development results and impact of the program. The PSU provides specific support in the areas of program analysis, planning and delivery, as well as administrative and logistical support to CIDA.
Three Trees is a network of friends, family, and colleagues who share the same passion and willingness to help the less fortunate ones around us. Our work focuses on bringing material and technical supports to the Centre for Orphans, Disabled Children and Homeless Elders in Ba Vi, Hanoi.
Currently, one of our friends and long-term supporters, Ms. Pat Sawyer – a specialist in children with disability – is going regularly to the centre to help the staff in improving their caring practices through simple stimulation and “child-centred” approach. She is accompanied by two Vietnamese volunteers. With the growing interests from the Centre’s staff and significant impact on the children’s mental and cognitive development, they are looking for expanding their activities.
