Background: The joint VCCI-UNIDO-UNEP project "Promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) among Vietnamese Business Community for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP)" works to provide groundswell input to already initiated policy initiatives, in particular the commitment to prepare and implement a national SCP action plan, the National Action Plan on Green Growth, and announcements for the translation and domestication of Vietnamese CSR guidance standard (based on or derived from ISO26000). The project is also strongly linked to the UN Global Compact Principles and thus cooperating in an integrative way with Global Compact Network Vietnam under the project's counterpart VCCI-SDforB.
