Organisation and project description: Plan International Vietnam has been working in Quang Ngai since 2000. So far, the program unit has provided supports and facilitation for 19 communes of 5 districts named Tu Nghia, Nghia Hanh, Son Tinh, Son Ha, and Ba To; benefiting a population of 127,000 of which, more than 8,000 sponsored children. In 2011, 5 communes of Nghia Hanh and Tu Nghia districts were phased out. In 2013, three communes of Son Tinh district were phased out. Currently, the program has cooperated with local authorities and local partners to conduct various development projects and programs in 11 communes in two mountainous districts (Son Ha and Ba To) in Quang Ngai for 5 and 11 years.
