Information Management and Database Development Supporter
JOB SUMMARY:
Based in the Project Management Unit of USAID Saving Species (hereinafter referred to as PMU) and reporting to the Director of CITES MA, USS COP/DCOP the Information Management and Database Development Supporter will provide support to the effective functioning of the information database relating to CITES implementation in Vietnam.
Based in the Project Management Unit of USAID Saving Species (hereinafter referred to as PMU) and reporting to the Director of CITES MA and USS COP/DCOP, the E-Licensing Supporter will provide support to contribute to the effective functioning of the eCITES database.
The development of information technology has promoted the use of the internet for commercial activities, facilitating the online trade on wildlife and their products, especially via social networks (*). Most of the products advertised on the internet are related to many wildlife species being protected by Vietnam laws as well as the International Convention on International Trade in Endangered Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
