The Asia Pacific Housing Forum Innovation Awards is calling for application!

At the 2021 Asia-Pacific Housing Forum, Habitat for Humanity seeks to promote and celebrate innovative approaches to improve housing conditions for low-income households at scale. This September, nominate initiatives for the Asia Pacific Housing Forum Innovation Awards until September 12, 2021. The Innovation Awards will:

• promote innovation in adequate and affordable housing solutions from a multitude of sectors to decrease the housing deficit;
• demonstrate the importance of strategic collaboration, especially People- Public- Private Partnerships that foster innovations;
• reward initiatives that address real need and provide affordable, disaster resilient, inclusive and sustainable solutions with an added lens of post pandemic considerations.

Nominate an innovative initiative in any or all three categories:  Shelter technologies, Public policies, and Inspirational practices. The detailed information can be found here: https://aphousingforum.org/innovation-awards/

Winners for each category of the Innovation Awards will receive US$5,000 and may be considered for Habitat’s ShelterTech Accelerator, a program designed to support entrepreneurs who are solving the most pressing issues in shelter through mentorship, connections to market partners, and unparalleled investment readiness support.

The top 12 entries to the Innovation Awards will be part of the “Top 100” affordable housing innovations that Habitat for Humanity is compiling in collaboration with Hilti Foundation. These will be showcased at the Innovations Awards Grand Premiere to be held in Bangkok. A shortlist of 20 finalists will be highlighted on the Forum website. The Top 12 finalist with the highest score in sustainability will receive the special Sustainability Award from EU SWITCH-Asia.
