Entering the market mechanism and joining the World Trade Organization, Vietnam allows international organizations to build a distribution system in Vietnam. This is a huge challenge for many small and medium enterprises (SME) manufacturing and trading agricultural products. In recent time, the State has launched a series of policies to mount businesses and farmers. Achieving these initial results, however, these policies have not done well to promote the role of the businesses. Enterprises are lack of the stable materials; farmers are lack of capital and technology. One of practical solutions has been applied in the world, especially in Spain, is to build the channel connecting the business with farmers.
Derived from this context, AgroVietlink Agriculture and Rural Development Trade and Consulting Company was established with assistance from the project “Study on policy recommendations to support for development of small and medium enterprises in agricultural sector and rural areas – phase II + III ” (SMEs Project) sponsored by Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECID). The objective of the company is to connect farmers with enterprises and consumer market in order to improve operation efficiency, value and income for farmers. AgroVietlink intends to become the most reliable provider of market information and market research for farmers in Vietnam; and become a trusted partner in the transfer of advanced technology, and good agricultural production practices; training and consultancy business administration for cooperatives and farmers in Vietnam.
JOB SUMMARY
Continually update and collect information and data on the agricultural sector of Vietnam, then analyze, edit and write articles on collected topics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor or master degree on investment economics, development economics or Agricultural Economics and Rural Development
Having from 3-7 years of experience in similar positions
Having ability to collect, research and analyze data and information
Good command of spoken and written English
Good computer skills
Salary: Competitive and negotiable
Contract: One year with possible extension
