220 Foreign Firms to Attend Water, Wastewater Conference in South Vietnam

More than 220 firms from 23 nations worldwide will take part in an international exhibition and conference on water and wastewater treatment, slated in Ho Chi Minh City from Nov 10-12. The event will see the participation of leading firms from South Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, the Netherlands and the U.S., the state-run Vietnam News Agency said Sept 17. The exhibition will display the latest technologies and solutions to management of fast-growing water supply as well as treatment of domestic wastewater and industrial wastewater in Vietnam. Japan-based Ebara Company, one of the world’s largest water technology companies, is expected to showcase its high-quality range of fluid machineries and systems such as pumps and valves.  Millions of Vietnamese people have still not yet gained access to clean water. Nearly 170 urban water supply projects worth $1 billion are underway in order to supply sufficiently clean water to citizens by 2020.
