ADB Funds $50M to Upgrade Hanoi’s Transport Infrastructure

Authorities of Hanoi have agreed to take $50 million funded by the Asian Development Bank through the Clean Technology Fund to upgrade transport infrastructure to limit CO2 emissions in the city.  The city will take the fund to upgrade car parks and bus stations and pilot use of hybrid buses, the state-run online newspaper VietnamNet reported.   The ADB has pledged to fund $1.5 billion in loans to 16 projects and programs in Vietnam this year, compared to $1.9 billion disbursed last year.
