ADDA Funds $1.8M for Vietnam Community Development Project through 2014

Agricultural Development Denmark Asia (ADDA) organization has granted an aid of $1.8 million to Vietnam Farmer Association (VFA) to carry out the second stage of the community development project in the Southeast Asian country through 2014. The project will benefit poor farmers and ethnic minority households in four northern provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien and Lai Chau and two central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh, the Hanoi Moi newspaper reported. The first stage of the project from 2006 to 2009 helped slash the rate of poor households in the six provinces by between 9.8% and 36.57%.  ADDA is a Danish NGO specializing in agriculture and agricultural development in ASEAN mainly Vietnam and Cambodia.
