Belgium to Provide EUR10M ODA for Vietnam Water Supply Project

The Belgian government has approved to provide EUR10 million in official development assistance (ODA) for an upgrading project of clean water supply system of the Tra vinh city in Vietnam’s southern province of Tra Vinh. The project aims to double the system’s capacity to 36,000 cubic meters daily, the Lao Dong online newspaper reported June 3. Vietnam aims to supply clean water to 85% of its population this year. Belgian investors have so far poured $79 million into 36 investment projects in Vietnam, ranking 39th among 74 countries and territories.
