Binh Phuoc Supports VND1.1B for Ethnic Students in 2009-2010 Academic Year

Vietnam’s southern province of Binh Phuoc spent VND1.1 billion to support students in ethnic areas in 2009-2010 academic year, the Cong an Nhan dan newspaper reported June 28. The province revealed that it has appointed 388 students at ethnic areas to study at universities and colleges since 1999. It will send 147 other students for studying in 2010-2011 academic year. Binh Phuoc is working out a plan to attract its graduated students, especially students in Bu Gia Map district, Phuoc Long township and Bu Dang to work in the province, aiming to help it boost socio-economic development.
