Dak Nong: Poor Ethnic People Receive Free Surgeries

Up to 80 poor patients with facial deformities, who are ethnic minority people in the central highlands province of Dak Nong, have received free-of-charge operations starting June 21. The four-day program, co-held by the provincial General Hospital, Operation Smile Vietnam (OSV) and the Ho Chi Minh City Odonto-Maxillo-Facial Hospital, costs nearly 400 million VND (21,000 USD) funded by Sika Vietnam Co. Ltd, which is operating in construction and industry. Apart from receiving health checks-up and surgeries, patients were also provided with travel and living costs during their stays at the hospital.
