The European Commission (EC) will help Vietnamese agencies improve education management and assessment this month, the Vietnam News Agency said Mar 2. The information was released at a two-day conference in Nha Trang city on Mar 2, which discussed the implementation of the Support to the Renovation of Education Management (SREM) project in 2010. The EC plans to hold training courses to help education and training departments develop Project Management Information System (PMIS), Education Management Information System (EMIS) and Vietnamese EMIS (VEMIS). Launched in early 2006, the SREM project has a total funding of EUR14.4 million, of which the EC contributes EUR12 million and the remaining comes from the Vietnamese government’s budget.
