Ethnic Villages Hook up to Grid

Some 10,000 households in 127 ethnic minority villages in the central highlands province of Gia Lai have just had access to the national electricity grid. This was made possible through the VND357 billion ($20 million) electricity supply project funded by the government. The remaining 200 villages will have electricity by next February when the Lunar New Year festival takes place, according to the project’s manager Nguyen Van Thanh.
