Finance & Administration Coordinator

Challenge to Change is a British NGO supporting poor communities in Vietnam, especially in vulnerable coastal regions, to adapt to the impact of climate change and to build resilience to natural disasters.  They are now recruiting a key position in the organisation in Vietnam, Finance and Administration Coordinator, to be based in Hanoi from July 2010, after an initial field placement from February to June 2010 at the CtC Field Office in Hue City.  The Finance & Administration Coordinator will be overall responsible for managing CtC’s financial and administrative systems in Vietnam, under the supervision of the Representative. 

The requirements for the position are as follows:
- Relevant university-level qualifications in accounting or financial management or administration;
- At least two years experience in a similar position with an International NGO in Vietnam and an excellent knowledge of relevant financial and administrative control mechanisms;
- Abilities to develop financial and administrative policy for partner institutions according to project requirements;
- Excellent abilities in working effectively and diplomatically with local government authorities at provincial levels;
- An ability to communicate and conduct training with local partner organisations at project sites;
- Good training skills and command of English language proficiency;

A demonstrated strong interest or experience in humanitarian relief and development.
An acceptance of placement at CtC office in Hue city for 4 months initially and reallocation to Hanoi permanently afterward.
This is a long term position, beginning in late February or early March 2010.
