Finance Assistant

CARE in Vietnam is looking for an experienced and qualified Vietnamese to fill in Finance Assistant

Position information:
Position title:            Finance assistant
Reporting to:             Finance Manager
Contract:                 Two years contract with high potential for extension
Base in:                  Hanoi with travel to project sites as required

Summary of Job:
As a member of the CARE Vietnam finance team, position provides support to finance department to ensure submit reports to CARE, donor and government on time.

Duties
1. Key payment vouchers into cash book and bank book daily.
2. Undertake timely filing of all vouchers produced in Hanoi and received from field offices.
3. Prepare list of consultant’s PIT monthly and working with Government’s agency on invoice of PIT for consultants and staff.
4. Support project finance officer in preparing donor report (photocopying, scan finance supporting documents…).
5. Read and become familiar with CARE Vietnam finance policies, procedures and guidelines as they relate to the duties of a finance assistant.  For example, ensure a good understanding of CARE Chart of Accounts and T Codes.   
6. Become familiar with the responsibilities and activities of the Accountant so that you are able to take responsibility of his/her duties in case of absence.
7. Contribute to CARE in Vietnam’s finance manual
8. Promote a safe and secure work environment.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Selection Criteria
1. College Diploma in accounting/finance.
2. Minimum 1 year of work experience in accounting/finance
3. Experience of computer skills.
4. Fluent in written and spoken English.
5. Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
