Finance Officer

WWF, one of the world's largest independent conservation organizations, has a global network active over 100 countries. From its Greater Mekong Country Programme Office in Hanoi, WWF manages a wide array of conservation projects in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Thailand in forest, freshwater and marine/coastal priority area as well as on species conservation.

WWF Vietnam Country Programme is one country component of the WWF Greater Mekong and is the implementing arm for projects in Vietnam. Actually they are implementing nearly 30 projects on biodiversity conservation, natural resources protection and livelihood improvement, mainly in Central Annamites, Southern Annamites and the Mekong Delta. Their major activities focus on Freshwater, Forestry, Marine and Aquaculture, Agriculture and Agroforestry, Policy and Advocacy.

They are seeking a qualified Vietnamese national candidate to fill the position of FINANCE OFFICER working full-time for WWF Vietnam Country Programme based in Ha Noi office

Main responsibilities:
The Senior Finance Officer will responsible for controlling the full accounting spectrum of assigned projects in Vietnam country programme including field offices. He/she will also responsible for the compliance of financial and administration reports to WWF GMP and donors.

Qualifications and Experience required:
- University or higher degree on accounting and financial management. 
- At least 5 year’s professional experience in the senior position at and 8 years practical experiences in project accounting, financial systems management, budgeting, budget monitoring and management.
- Excellent of accounting knowledge and experience with strong emphasise in using accounting software to develop and maintain records, document and financial data
- Broad knowledge of the organisation and finance requirements to oversee the preparation, reconciliation of the finance transactions and document
- Good working knowledge of Vietnamese and international standards of accounting and finance principles and practise
- Experience in providing training in accounting for non-accounting people
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, with ability to function in a multi-cultural environment.
- Good computer skills in spreadsheets, accounting software, and word processing. Interested in conservation.
- An understanding and commitment to conservation development and equity
- Strong English and Vietnamese report writing as well verbal skills. Proven excellent leadership skills and good time management
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and sensitively, initiative and a flexible, friendly and cooperative personality.
- Ability to work independently and to promote strong team cooperation. Self-starter and require little supervision is preferred. Good team building ability.
- Willing to travel to the field when required and to work under pressure of deadline.
