First Four Vietnamese Uni Training Programs Assessed under ASEAN Standards

A mission from the ASEAN University Network (AUN) started assessing first four university training programs in Vietnam in line with AUN standards on Dec 6. The programs were Information Technology (IT), Electronics-Telecommunications, Computer Science and Informatics, the Saigon Giai Phong newspaper reported Dec. 11. The assessment result will be announced earlier next year. AUN has recognized 21 universities from ten nations in the Southeast Asia region to date, including two universities from Vietnam.  Vietnam now has 376 universities and colleges. It targets to have one university placed among the world’s top 200 universities by 2020.
