Food Poisoning Kills 10 Vietnamese in May

Vietnam reported 20 food poisoning cases in May, killing ten people and affecting 704 others, state media reported June 3, citing the Ministry of Health. Compared to April, the number of cases and affected people increased 185.7% and 951%, respectively. Among the cases, six were caused by poisonous mushroom, three by microorganism, two by globefish, one by king crab and another by high histamine in tuna. The remaining seven cases are being investigated, the ministry said.
