Government Grants 2,000 Tons of Rice to Gia Lai Province

The government of Vietnam has decided to provide VND50 billion ($2.7 million) and 2,000 tons of rice to help the central highlands province of Gia Lai overcome the consequences of natural disasters. The recent storms left seven dead, six others injured and damaged over 250 houses, 4,000 houses and hundreds of offices and schools. The total loss was valued at VND1.3 trillion. The district of Ia Pa suffered the most damage of VND80 billion.
