HCM City Seeking ODA Fund for Water Supply Project

Ho Chi Minh City is seeking the approval of the Ministry of Planning and Investment to add a $250,000 water supply project of Saigon Water Corp. (Sawaco) to the list of ODA-funded projects this year. If approved, the project will be implemented between March and October to upgrade the water supply pipelines and improve the water supply capacity of Sawaco, the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper reported.  Sawaco plans to increase its daily tap water supply to 1.8 million cubic meters by the end of 2010 from current 1.2 million cubic meters.
